Certificate Forgery: Ogun stakeholders storm Abuja….Insist Dapo Abiodun Not Qualified to be governor

The coalition of political parties and stakeholders in Ogun State has stormed Abuja national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress to demand that its gubernatorial candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, must be disqualified.

This is the first day of a 2 day sustained protests, awareness and pressure of relevant authorities in Abuja to do the needful and disqualify Prince Abiodun without further delay.

The group carrying placards with various inscriptions such as, “Dapo Abiodun totally rejected,” Disqualify Dapo Abiodun now” said the two days protest in Abuja was to warn of the dire consequences of APC fielding a candidate that will be disqualified eventually.

It would be recalled that KowaParty and other stakeholders at a joint press conference in Abeokuta on Monday has called on the Inspector General of Police, Idris Abubakar to investigate Prince Abiodun over allegation of certificate forgery made against him.

Speaking at the conference, Kowa Party’s spokesman, Mark Adebayo, said his party will approach the court to disqualify Abiodun if the police, INEC, and the national working committee of the APC refuse to do the needful.

Prince Abiodun was alleged to have evaded service after completing his studies in the 80s. He is also been accused of forging some of his certificates according to the information on the website of his oil company, Hyden Oil.
The group has vowed that the two- day protest at the headquarters of Independent National Electotal Commission, INEC, IGP office , ICPC and the APC National Headquarters among others was to press home for the disqualification of Abiodun.
