Cocaine:NDLEA Set To Declare Sanwoolu’s Digital Strategist Wanted

Finally, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, is said to be putting its papers together to declare Ms Funke Phillips, the digital strategist of Lagos state Governor -Elect, Mr. Babatunde Sanwoolu, wanted for jumping bail in 2007 after she was arrested for being in possession of 3.14 kilograms of cocaine.

Investigation by Newsnow revealed that the NDLEA Director of Prosecution and Legal Services, Mr. Sunday Mboma, is working on how to track Ms Phillips down after the news broke.

Olufunke Phillips, who worked as a digital manager for the Lagos State governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, absconded from justice having been granted bail after she was arraigned for illegal possession of 3.14 kilogrammes of cocaine before a federal court in Lagos in 2007.

The suspect (real name: Philip Esther Olufunke) was arraigned by the NDLEA before Justice P.I Ajoku of the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court before she, alongside 25 others, absconded after being granted bail by the judge.

The digital strategist’s sordid past was exposed on March 15 by journalist Ruona Meyer, after a business relationship between the duo went sour.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Governor- Elect, Sanwoolu, are yet to comment on the whereabouts of Ms Phillips, who has suddenly disappeared after the news.
