Labour Party Seeks Nullification of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s Victory

……Calls for fresh election

It is not yet uhuru for the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate and governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun as the Labour Party , has approached the state election petition tribunal, seeking for the nullification of the election.

The grouse of Labour Party’s candidate against Prince Abiodun’s emergence, we are told is that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, omitted the logo of the LP during the March 9 gubernatorial and house of assembly election.

The State Secretary of Labour Party in Ogun State, Comrade Oginni Olaposi  on Wednesday,  confirmed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had agreed through the Tribunal to allow the inspection and photocopies of the ballot papers used for the March 9 Gubernatorial Election. 

Comrade Oginni Olaposi told journalists that INEC had written a letter to the party through its lawyer granting the request to inspect the ballot papers to confirm the party’s exclusion on the ballot of the governorship election. 


“In the letter written to our Lawyer by INEC, we are granted the request to inspect the ballot papers to confirm our exclusion on the ballot of the controversial Governorship Election,” he said.
