declared his total support to the proposed plan mass protest from the
well meaning Nigerians against the extra- judicial killings by the men
of Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Lagos State and its
environs, particularly over the recent illegal killings of late Kolade
Johnson in the Onipetesi area of Lagos on Sunday.
He , however ,disagreed with the authority of the Nigeria Police for parading only two Policemen attached to the Anti-Cultism Squad out of seven(7) Policemen that committed the offence, insisting that seven
Police officers involved in the killing of Kolade Johnson and not two
Police officers as authority of Nigeria police wanted the public to believe.
He then urged the Police authority in the country to fish out the five remaining Police officers that involved in the killing of the deceased and also calling for the enforcement of death by hanging/firing squad and life imprisonment for any culprit of the dastard act as stipulated in the Force Order No. 237, that it was illegal and unlawful for any security agent to involve in the extra-judicial killing of fellow citizen employed to protect.
According to the Press Statement issued and signed by Comrade Sulaiman
which copies were made available to newsmen on Thursday, he called on
the well meaning citizens of the country to rise up in free Nigerians
from the untimely death of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and
Nigeria Police as a whole by joining the mass protest against the
extra-judicial killings of the Nigeria Police whenever it called out.
He described the dastard act of the men of Nigeria Police as illegal,
unconstitutional, unlawful,evil,ungodly,anathema,anti-people and crime
against God and humanity
Supporting his argument with the case of Igbo v State and Alia Agu v.
State &R. V. Okon in the criminal Code Cap ‘’cap38” of the Federation
Speaking further on the development, he urged Nigerians not to allow
the killing of Kolade Johnson and other hapless Nigerians to be swept
under the carpet as Police authority used to do in the land, advising
Nigeria government to organize psychiatric test for any men of Nigeria
Police that would handle the gun in line of their duty so as to curb
the incessant killing of innocent Nigerians by the trigger happy rank
and file police officers.
Sulaiman who doubles as Convener, Save Lagos Group (SLG) stressed that
the security agents in the country should ready to work in respect of
Section 33, 34 and 36 of the amended 1999 Constitution of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria.
He therefore called on President Muhammadu Buhari and his government
to stop paying lip service to the ongoing illegal and unlawful
killings of innocent citizens in various parts of the country and as
