Hon Femi Gbajabiamila and Desmond Elliot will on Monday May 27 attend Alaka children’s day celebration in Surulere.
The event will help the children to develop their potentialities and cultivate national consciousness .
A statement issued in Lagos on Tuesday by the organisers said ” This is an ideal opportunity for children in Nigeria to acquire new skills and new attitude which will enable them to make greater contribution to society in future”.
The programme, the organisers said also incorporate activities such as talk on domestic science, childcare, drug abuse, child labour, debate, quiz, dancing, singing, speech writing, poetry recitation and drawing.
“The programme is aimed at broadening the horizon of the young people” the statement signed by Henry Ebireri, Peter Odukoya, Soji Odusina, Nasir Olayinka and Taiwo Alao said.
There will be prizes and giveaways during the programme and the chance to meet people from other geo-political zones.
The programme will be a wonderful way to spend sometime together in the constituency of the incoming Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, member representing Surulere Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Desmond Elliot and the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, His Excellency, Babatunde Raji Fashola.
