CHESTRAD Boss, Dr Lola Dare Honoured

   .. group to lift 2million Children , 500,000 women out of poverty 

A Nigerian Epidemiologist, Dr Lola Dare, has been honoured and formally welcomed into the Game Changers Women’s Leadership Network, and to be included on its Wall of Women (WOW) Over her contribution to Global Health and Medical Education. 

According to the document sighted by Newsnow, the group will also assist two million children and five hundred thousand women out of poverty. 

Part of the deal also includes Training in public speaking and leadership for 100,000 women, girls and young people.

Lola is a community physician, epidemiologist, global health practitioner, development consultant, social entrepreneur and irrepressible health advocate of over 30 years. 

She is the President of CHESTRAD Global an African-led social enterprise that deploys data and evidence to champion country context and independent voices of women, children and young people in global health and development debate.

Lola has been in the forefront of advocacy for resilient, accountable right based health care services and systems strengthening, and has engaged with policymakers, parliamentarians, large donor-funded programmes, national governments, intergovernmental organizations and agencies. 

Lola, an innovative thought leader whose voice is well respected, informed and authentically southern in all level dialogues on health and development. As President of CHESTRAD Global, Lola has oversight for its effort across three regions; Africa and the Middle East; Europe, Pacific and Asia; and the Americas. Furthermore, she has oversight for its flagship initiatives including  “I Will Give Africa”, a platform for organized philanthropy and social impact investments; and the Tariro Project, technology and data-enabled platform to build Africa’s human capital potential from zero to 60 months.

Lola, a graduate of the College of Medicine University of Ibadan, Nigeria, holds a Master’s of Science degree in Epidemiology, bias in statistics (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine); awarded certificates in Population and Development and International Health as David E. Bell and Takemi Fellow of the Harvard School of Public Health, United States of America. 

Lola is a member of the West African Postgraduate Medical College, Faculty of Public Health and a fellow of the Nigerian National Postgraduate Medical College, Faculty of Community Medicine. 

She holds a certificate in Advance Management from INSEAD. She is a Fellow, by distinction, of the Faculty of Public Health, United Kingdom.
