The Serving Overseer, Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has declared that he had no hand in the ‘ill treatment’ meted to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Bakare who reiterated on Sunday that he will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in office, said Osinbajo may be ‘victim of wrong association.’
The cleric said that what he saw and said about one year, seven months ago and the situation had not changed.
Bakare, however, denounced social media reports linking his presidential ambition to the alleged humiliation of Vice-President by “the cabal” in the Presidency.
“I heard all kinds of things on the Internet about joining the cabal. Those who pull down others to get up will never get up,” he said.
Those who alleged that Bakare remains a member of the ‘Cabal’ in the Aso Rock said his relationship with the Governor of Kaduna State , Mallam Ahmad el-Rufai, who is regarded as a strong member of the group and the timing of his trip with President Muhammadu Buhari to the United Nations General Assembly in New York at the time the Vice President was being ‘pummeled’ is an indication that he may be part of the ‘plot.’
