+Pastor Adeboye’s charge against new bank charges
Pastor Enoch Adeboye , the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, is witty and down to earth.
Speaking at the youth convention of RCCG last Friday , titled, “ His Power and Glory” at the old auditorium in Redemption Camp, Pastor Adeboye spoke in parables.
The first one dwells on the travail of one of his pastors, Vice President Yemi
According to the revered clergy, he said he has a friend who is very humorous and was verse in the Bible.
One day, his friend was explaining a portion in the Bible about the seventy evangelists that Jesus sent to preach the gospel.
He gave them a charge thus: “That whoever rejects them, rejects him and whoever rejects him, rejects the Father who sent him.”
He also says Hebrew 12:29 which says “ Our God is a consuming fire” will be the final judgment of those responsible for such indiscretion.
“ You know our God is a consuming fire. And when He fights like fire, it’s irreversible. I haven’t seen what will turn ashes back to paper once it’s burnt by fire. And again, by the time the judgment would start , the people concerned may not even know until it’s too late.” He said.
Professor Osinbajo who was seated in the front row was beaming with smiles as he listens to his spiritual father waxing philosophical.
Pastor Adeboye also addressed the new bank charges saying his anonymous mathematician was discussing a part of mathematics called Calculus and dealt with the issue of new CBN charges to depositors of banks in parable thus:” My friend says when you deposit money in bank and the bank refuse to pay interest, it’s called stealing. And when you withdraw money and they charge you, that’s stealing square and when you want to close your account they charge you again, that’s is stealing CUBE.” It was an evening full of fun with spiritual insights from the revered clergy.
It would be recalled that Pastor Adeboye fired a salvo to his critics who accused him of not speaking out against the crisis in the country and the need for the ruling party to do the needful. Pastor Adeboye said; “ Very soon, people will see that God answers prayer,” was his admonition to those who want him to speak truth to power.
