The Onibudo of Ayetoro-Budo, His Royal Highness, Oba Adewumi Adeniji Odutala 1, has said the National Assembly members from Ogun state who have chosen to abandon the people and focus on their personal aggrandizement will face the wrath of the masses in 2023.

Speaking during the praise night tagged ‘Festival of Praise’ early this morning @ his Palace In Ayetoro-Budo, Oba Odutala said it was unfortunate that the elected public officials, especially those at the national assembly will turn their back at the people’s plight after winning the election.

His words, “ Mark my words, 2023 will be the year of reckoning for those we elected to represent us, especially in Abuja that are now turning against the wishes and aspirations of the people.

“ They are coming up with draconian laws that will stifle the people , instead of laws that will ameliorate their suffering,” he added.

The program, fourth edition witnessed gospel artists such as African Praise, Paul Friday aka Omo Abule, DEWOLEY, Ambassador Adegbite, Atabatubu, and Elijah Daniel.

Others were Aduke Gold, Deborah Ajayi and Tolu Davies with scintillating performances.

The Overseer of Perfection Bible Church International, Apostle David Ayeni, during his ministration, urged the traditional rulers present at the occasion to see their role as ‘calling’ and try as much as possible to improve their community for the total wellbeing of their subjects.

He, however, admonished the Obas to focus more on God and do away with idols worshipping in their domains.

Ayeni, who prophesied on the worshippers for God’s blessings, urged them to be more steadfast in order to fulfill their destinies.

It will be recalled that Oba Odutala had earlier chided the senate for embarking on Hate Speech Bill when there were laws to deal with libel and sedition in our constitution.

He said they (NASS) should be more concerned about how our resources are being plundered and come up with legislation to arrest the drift.
