Edo 2020:APC NWC Rejects Oshiohmole’s Leadership

…Says You Have No Moral Justification To Preside Over Our Meeting

The year 2020 reportedly commenced on a sour note for the national leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as its National Working Committee (NWC) walked out on the national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

The action of the NWC members to a revolt against Oshiomhole, we gathered was as a result of his feud with the governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki.

The members walked out on the national chairman at the first meeting of the year.

The report said those who revolted against Oshiomhole argue that he is not qualified to lead the party at the national level since he had been suspended from the political organisation in his state.

Speaking on behalf of his counterparts, the party’s national vice chairman in charge of the north east, Mustapha Salihu, said they took the action because of Oshiomhole’s single-handed endorsement of Waziri Bulama to take over the position national secretary.

Salihu boasted that he would take Oshiomhole before the Department of State Services (DSS) and such other agencies if the latter does not step down till the issue before him in Edo is resolved.

According to him, Oshiomhole is responsible for the crises recorded by the party.

Oshiomhole faced a no confidence vote from the party following the alleged roles he was said to have played in the crisis rocking the APC in Edo.
