Minister of state for Health, Dr. Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora, has urged Nigerians to spread the facts about the dreaded Coronavirus and not the fears.
Speaking at the 34th anniversary of Healthcare magazine innovative lecture and awards on Monday in Lagos, the Minister commended the convener Dr. Bola Olaosebikan for His doggedness and steadfastness in the health sector.

“ But again, personal hygiene and respiratory hygiene are critical. Also, hand washing is very important. Apply hand sanitizer and keep the palm dry because moist palms carry more gems.
We should cover our noses with tissues papers when we sneeze and remove mucous from our noses and wash our hands thoroughly. Also, once we have symptoms of fever, respiratory problems, we should see doctor immediately for further diagnosis. We shouldn’t embark on self medication.”
The Minister also advised that handles of doors, toilets and staircases can also have gems, adding that we should apply hand sanitizer and keep the palm dry because moist palms carry more gem.

He said: “At the launching on that day was the first Minister of Health in Nigeria, Baba Dr. Koye Majekodunmi, who was also a medical doctor to the Prime Minister of Nigeria and also the administrator of Western Region. He was the chairman of the occasion that day. We also had the honour of having the Honorable Minister of Health, Professor Olikoye Ransome-Kuti at the launching as our chief Launcher that day. We also had another great medical statesman, Major General Hernry Adefope at the takeoff, of Healthcare Magazine. Also, one of my inspiring mentors and foremost educationist, Dr Tai Solarin was at the launch. My family members, and my friends were well represented. We also had the World Health Organization Representative at the launching of Healthcare Magazine on that day at Eko Hotel and W.H.O described “healthcare Magazine as the magazine of destiny” at the launching. This was how Healthcare Magazine journey started in 1986, as an innovation for good health.
“Since that year, in the last 34years we have published over 1million copies of Healthcare Magazine, circulated all over Nigeria, we have touched all the 36 states and 774 local government areas in Nigeria and some African countries. I wish to thank and pay tribute to another elder statesman of Nigeria who supported us tremendously; I am talking about Chief MKO Abiola of blessed memory. He was the Founder & Chairman of Concord Group of Newspapers , who supported Healthcare magazine with nationwide circulation of our magazine under a special arrangement with Concord newspapers. For good things to succeed, good ideas need support of good people and I thank all the good and great people who have supported us since we started in 1986. It has not been easy, it has not always been smooth sailing, it has been challenging, but Almighty God has always been helpful
