General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye , has said he had no intention to live up to 100 years.
Speaking on the topic, “Peace” at the Redemption Camp on Sunday, he says peace is very important to Christians daily living.
Quoting from Philippians 4, 4-7, Pastor Adeboye said peace of God that passeth all understanding is very important.
He said genuine Christians have nothing to fear about the pestilence (COVID-19) that is ravaging the whole world, adding that it’s only the wicked that will not enjoy peace.
Going down the memory lane, he said there was a time a man came to him that he should pray for him based on a prophetic declaration that he would die at a certain age.
“There was a time a very rich man came to me that I should pray for him because a prophet who had predicted everything that has ever happened to him said he would die at 88. And it was few weeks to his 88th birthday. I told him that though the prophet was a great man of God, but that a greater prophet is here. I asked if he wants to die really since he gave his life to Christ barely two years before that time. He said no. So I pray for him. There was peace in his life because after that he built a two bedroom bungalow in the Redemption Camp here and moved in. In fact, it was when it was few weeks to his 100th birthday that he sent for me that he was ready to go and I went to pray for him since I don’t have intention of living up to 100 years.” He said.
He, however, told the worshippers to relax that there will be peace again.
Adeboye said what worshippers ought to be doing now is to praise God.
“No peace for the wicked. If you are not one of His children and you are praying for peace, it won’t happen.” He said.
