COVID-19: NCDC Declares 204 New Cases ….Kano 80 Cases Highest ..Obaseki Declares Fleeing Coronavirus Patient Wanted …Nigeria Now Has 1932 Cases
Kano state May soon become the epicenter of the Coronavirus going by the latest results last night.
Out of 204 new cases discovered, Kano state which is now opposed to total lockdown has 80, overtaken Lagos which has 45.
The COVID-19 seems to be moving rapidly to the north as the surging is becoming noticeable in nearly all the states of the north except Kogi state which is yet to record any case.
Meanwhile, the Edo state governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has declared a fleeing Coronavirus patient wanted.
The nursing mother, Amaka Okoro was said to have fled because of her status as COVID-19 patient.
Other states with new cases include Lagos with 45 cases while Gombe has 12. Bauchi and Sokoto has nine each, seven each for Borno and Edo, Rivers and Ogun have six cases each, FCT, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa have four cases each, three were reported in Kaduna, two each in Oyo, Delta and Nasarawa, while one case was each reported in Ondo and Kebbi States.
The total number of confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria has risen to 1932.
With its total of 219 cases, Kano has now taken over from FCT as second most infected state in Nigeria, FCT now has 178 cases while Lagos is nearing the 1000 mark with its total of 976 confirmed cases.
