The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has declared that the Commission will prosecute the commercial bank where the N100million which was above the limit was withdrawn by the Chinese nationals to bribe its officials.
Speaking on the activities of the anti-graft Commission in the last five years, Magu said the investigation is ongoing.
He, however, hinted that the EFCC is working on a $2.1billion Fraud which is about the biggest ever.
On Mompha and Hushpuppi, two Nigerians fraudsters being held abroad, Magu said the anti-graft Commission is not directly involved, adding that it will assist if the FBI handling the investigation reach out to it.
Magu explained that the Commission apart from prosecuting criminals is also working to rehabilitate some Yahoo Yahoo Boys so that they will be useful to the community.
“ Most of these boys are very intelligent. So apart from prosecuting and jail them to serve as deterrent, we are also working towards rehabilitating them so that they can be useful to the society at large after their prosecution.” He said.
