EFCC: Buhari Affirms Magu’s Suspension As Director Of Operations, Mohammed Umar Takes Over

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation , Abubakar Malami, SAN, has said President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the suspension of the embattled chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu.

Malami in a statement by his spokesman, Umar Gwandu, said this is done to allow unhindered inquiry by the presidential panel, probing allegations of corruption against Magu.

According to the statement, President Buhari has also approved that the EFCC Director of Operations, Mohammed Umar, should take charge and oversee the activities of the Commission pending the conclusion of the ongoing investigation and further directives in that regards.
