Magu: IGP Withdraws Police Officers Attached To EFCC

The IGP’s signal

Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has withdrawn all police officers attached to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

According to a signal to that effect sighted by Newsnow, all the police officers are to report to the IGP on Monday 13 July 2020.

The signal also directed that no one should be allowed into the EFCC’s office apart from the staff.

This may not be unconnected with the presidential probe panel scrutinizing the former chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu.

It will be recalled that Magu was arrested on Monday while he was on his way to police headquarters and has since remained in detention.
