+ £48 Seed Capital
Chairman of Doyin Group of Companies, Chief Samuel Adedoyin, has explained how he made his billions from the £48 seed capital from maize farming.
Speaking at the Ceremony to mark his 85th birthday in Lagos, the Agbamu, Kwara state born billionaire said he made the initial capital from maize farming.
Going down the memory lane he said, “ it was during the November to December period when people normally burn bushes to hunt game. The portion that we burnt to kill animals later provided a veritable farm for my maize. I planted maize and during the harvest period, I made £52 from my maize. The maize proceeds was more than my father’s farm with seven other people. I gave my mother £4 and I left Agbamu for lagos with £48 and I started farming and it blossoms. I will advise that during a period like this, people should go into mechanized farming to make ends meet.”
Married to Toyin and they are blessed with beautiful children, including Pastor Sola Adeoti, a provincial pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of Church who once held forth as the managing director of the defunct City Express Bank.
Pastor Sola Adeoti has since remarried to Oba Francis Alao, the Olugbon of Igbon.
“On his hobby; My work is my hobby. Work doesn’t kill. If I can survive in the last 85 years and still do my work, I give glory to God.” He said
