Army: Give Us Credit, We Rescued The Boys
Matawalle, Masari: We Negotiated The Release Of The Boys Through Miyetti Allah
The release of the abducted 344 school boys of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara has continued to generate controversy between the Nigerian Army and Governors Bello Matawalle and Bello Masari of Zamfara and Katsina respectively.
The Coordinator of the army defense information, Major Gen. John Eneche, has said the army, DSS and the police Rescued The Boys contrary to the impression being created by the Zamfara and Katsina Governors that the release of the Boys was negotiated through the Miyetti Allah.
Gen. Enenche while fielding questions on Arise tv said he was not aware of any other ways being bandied by the two governors apart from the efforts of the security agencies which rescued the boys.
The GOC 7 Division, Brig Gen Abdul Khalifa Ibrahim also corroborated Gen. Enenche while handing over the boys to Governor Bello Masari that the boys were rescued by the combined team of the Army, DSS and Police.
