Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos movement, Mr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, has said that the All Progressives Congress registration and revalidation exercise will mark the beginning of the process to return Lagos to Lagos.

Speaking after the revalidation of his membership of the APC at Ward G, Unit 001, Ojo Local Government at the weekend, the Awori born politician said his people were excited about the exercise.

“ There’s need for the existing members to revalidate their membership and opportunity for new members to join the party. That’s why I’m here. It’s symbolic. It’s the beginning of the process to return Lagos to Lagos. It’s not just a revalidation for us. Our people are excited. We have never been this hopeful. Badagry is the only division of the five divisions in Lagos that has never produced a Governor . Our people are excited that one of us is coming out to break the jinx.” He said.

On what he considered as the topmost priority of his people in the riverine area, Jandor said with the huge revenue accrued to the state In term of internally generated revenue, there’s need for a bridge to link up the people with the mainland without much ado.

He, however, said that the road infrastructure in the area is in deplorable situation, adding that the Badagry Expressway has suffered neglect for years.

“In term of infrastructure development, it’s like we are not part of the state. We are coming to give the promise of a better  tomorrow to our people.”

Continuing, he said; “ We want a governor we can call our own not the one imposed by the godfather who has no allegiance to the people.

“We are sure that we will be on the ballot for the 2023 governorship election. That’s why we started early enough to create our own structure and mobilize the people ahead of the election. And if our party is saying no, the opposing political party may be readily available for us because we have the structure across the state.”

On the rationale for supporting Jandor, Former Secretary to the State Government, Princess Adenrele Adeniran Ogunsanya, who accompanied him to the revalidation exercise said she was encouraged by Jandor’s courage and persistence despite all odds.

She, however said that though Lagos is cosmopolitan, it’s about fairness and equitable distribution among the five divisions in Lagos.

Speaking earlier when Jandor paid him a homage at his palace in Irewe, Osolu of Irewe, HRM Oba Abideen Adekanbi Durosinmi said he has endorsed his candidacy and that people are ready to support him.

Oba Abideen who said Jandor should considered his political ambition a fait accompli, said he was instrumental to the election of late Sir Micheal Agbolade Otedola as the governor of the state In 1991.

“I was a prince then when someone introduced Sir Otedola to me and I took him to late Fatai Olumegbon of blessed memory and from there, he became the governor. We are ready. Jandor is our own.” He said.
