It was an evening of fun and conviviality as the founder of Zenith Global Health, Mary ‘Amoke’ Akangbe, honoured medical consultants, service providers and philanthropists at a well attended African Healthcare award ceremony at Oriental Hotels, Lagos. One of the recipients, Dr. Lola Dare, President CHESTRAD global, explained to the audience about her pet project to alleviate the sufferings of women, poor children and young people by working with public and private organizations as well as well meaning Nigerians to raise funds through the concept, ‘I Will Give’. Lola Dare’s project also extends to other part of African continent. ‘Eleyinju Aanu’ meaning those with human milk of kindness was also translated to other languages in Africa such as ‘Tariro’. From Lagos Urban slum in Ikota, Lekki, Lagos to her home state In Osun, Lola-Dare has worked for the emancipation of the womenfolk, which according to her deserves better. Other recipients include Kebbi First Lady, Mrs Bagudu for her effort on cancer. Doctor of fertility, Richard Ajayi of Bridge Clinics and post humous award went to late Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh for saving Nigeria from Ebola. Other recipients are Senegalese philanthropist, Samba Bathily and Mrs Sola Aketi, a nurse amongst others.
