Former presidential spokesman, Uba Sani, has blamed the governor of Rivers state, Nyesome Wike for the loss of three governors to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Speaking on Arise TV am program monitored in Lagos on Tuesday, Sani says Wike’s unguarded statement is causing many crises in the party.
Though, he described Wike as the Rock of the party, he nonetheless blamed him for the loss of three governors to the APC.
“ Yes, Wike is a Rock in our party. He’s done well for the party, but his unguarded statement is causing crisis in the party. He has threatened the party that the convention must be held in Port Harcourt. He lambasted the BOT. He has talk down on many people in the party. The governor of Ebonyi, Dave Umahi and Cross Rivers’ Governor , Prof. Ben Ayade left because of disagreement with Wike. Even, Zamfara Governor Bello Matawalle complained that he was abandoned. When Governor Sam Ortom of Benue had crisis, Wike gave him N200m. He gave Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto N500m. So nobody reaches out to Matawalle until he complained and N150m was given to him, but by then, it was too late.” He said.
Sani explained that the National chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus has provided leadership given the fact that he was the first leader of the NWC to be in opposition.
He also accused the ruling APC of rigging them out in Osun and Kano in the previous elections and the Imo state governorship, which according to him was taken from them.
