The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Niger State, has tasked Governor Abubakar Sani Bello to without further delay rescue the abducted Tegina Islammiyya children, teachers and his own commissioner for Information, Mohammed Sani Idris kidnapped in Tafa Local Government Area with urgency.
PDP In a statement by its newly elected chairman, Tanko Beji said the party is roundly disgusted and alarmed, that over 70 days after the Tegina Islammiyya children were kidnapped, no word or even mere body movement to show seriousness from Governor Sani Bello.
“In addition to that, the recent kidnap of his own Commissioner and cabinet member, the PDP will come to a conclusion that Niger state is adrift, rudderless and just an inch to failure.
“Governor Bello and the APC has no business being in any leadership position considering the inept, clueless and classless leadership they have rendered over the past 6 years.
“This is very unfortunate and very sad.
“While the PDP conveys it prayers and heartfelt sadness to the families, we make haste to remind Governor Abubakar Sani Bello that the primary responsibility of any Government is security of lives and properties especially, this case that involves over 135 children of ages between 5 and 15 years old.
“How does Governor Sani Bello, sleeps well, eat well, smiles and junkets around the world using state resources knowing that the people he swore to protect are in the hands of daredevil terrorists?” The statement said.
