Talented members of Nations Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osun State on Thursday exhibited an electrifying dance performance and also treated thier colluegues to an exciting and hilarious rib cracking jokes at the camp during the 2021 Batch B stream 1 orientation programme.
The variety night which took place in the multipurpose hall of the Orientation Camp featured the Inter-platoon hip-hop family dance competition as well as the comedy competition.
Mr. Olajide Ademola, who was the presiding judge for both competitions said that the criteria for judgement in the inter-platoon family dance will include: timing, costume, creativity, coordination, amongst others while the comedy will include; confidence, timing, audience engagement and precision.
During the dance competition, various platoons representatives pulled off difficult dance moves with relative ease, much to the delight of cheering corps members and in the end, platoon 7 emerged victorious, while platoons 5 and 9 finished second and third respectively.
The comedy category was not less exciting as the various platoon representatives pieced together rib cracking performances which stirred everyone in the crowd.
Eventually, Osaigbouo Aibangbe Wellington of platoon 7 came out tops while the duo of Aina Toba Solomon and Abdulrahaman O. Ayuba of platoon 5 finished second. In third place was the representative of Platoon 4 Amarachi. It was truly a night filled with pleasant memories.
The NYSC Coordinator in the state, Mr Ayodele Adegoke expressed joy that the corps members took the orientation activities very serious and carried out their tasks with fun.
Adegoke said every activity on camp was important as the orientation programme was part of their formation and packaged to prepare their for the future.
