Barring any last minute hitches, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is set to appoint the secretary to the Local Government,SLGs and Supervisors for the 20 local governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas.
This according to inside source is in line with the provisions of the Lagos Local Government Administration Law and the Guidelines for Administrative Procedures for Local Government.
Sanwo-Olu Newsnowonline gathered will release the newly appointed SLGs and Supervisors next week.
These are part of measures put in place by Lagos State house of assembly, which also carry out oversight function to regulate the activities of the Lagos Local Government.
There’s anxiety and lobbying by politicians to get the nod of Sanwo-Olu for the plum political positions.
These may be one of the reasons why states governors moved against President Muhammadu Buhari when he signed the executive order giving local governments across the country autonomy.
