Anambra 2021:Soludo Has No Electoral Value—APC

The Spokesman of Dr. Andy Uba Campaign Organisation, Afam Ogene, has dismissed the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance and former governor of Central Bank, Prof Charles Soludo as posing no threat to the ambition of his principal.

He said Soludo has no electoral value having contested twice and failed.

Speaking on the chances of his principal in the up coming November 6, 2021 Governorship election on a current affairs program, The Morning Show, monitored on Arise tv on Thursday in Lagos, Ogene said Soludo has contested twice and failed to clinch the governorship.

He maintained that apart from being Economic theorist which is quite different from the reality, he hasn’t much strength politically.

He also berated the state Governor, Mr. Willie Obiano that he has run the local government administration of the state down.

Ogene maintained that his principal, Dr. Uba is the most qualified and prepared having won election in 2007, but was stopped by the Supreme Court ruling that Peter Obi’s tenure was still running.

He said, “ I don’t know what they meant that Dr. Uba was not a candidate. Initially, they said he was not campaigning and now we have done 15 out of the 21 local governments in Anambra and they are still complaining. If there’s anything, it shows that he’s the candidate to beat.

“Our experience during the tour of the local government shows that Governor Obiano has not conducted local government election in eight years.

He collects local government allocation and gives them N5m each to pay salaries.

This is not the best at all.

“ Prof Soludo has contested twice and failed woefully. He has tried to be vice presidential candidate and failed. He’s an Economic theorist who has not been tested.”

Ogene explained that Ndi Anambra are tired of having a ‘Man Alone’ as governor who has no peer either in the APC or the Peoples Democratic Party to review the working and etiquette of governance with.
