Exclusive! Lagos APC Christian Leaders Forum Hails GAC Over Sanwo-Olu’s Second Term Bid
A group, Lagos State APC Christian Leaders Forum has written a thank you letter to the Governors Advisory Council, GAC, for endorsing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for second term.
The group in a letter sighted by Newsnow and signed by its chairman, Ambassador Olanrewaju Abraham and other leaders, described the endorsement as a mark of Sanwo-Olu’s phenomenal achievements, which it says, is the In-print of the party’s governance of the state for over two decades.
The group Counsels that the Progressives disposition of the APC in Lagos state should not be allowed to be slaughtered on the altar of miscalculations of religious sentimentality.
The statement reads; “We are not unaware of the moves of certain disgruntled few of our Muslim brothers in our great party, questioning your unanimous endorsement of our loyal and silently achieving governor for his second term tenure. Howbeit, we refused to be dragged into this contentious and acrimonious argument based on their parochial understanding of the issue of rotation.
“For us, it is only a display of their level of ignorance of the records and history of governance of Lagos state by our great party.”
The group which says its members are in all the 20 local government areas and
37 local council development areas of the state hinted of the commitment to mobilize for Sanwo-Olu’s re-election.
