Lai Mohammed’s Son, Folajimi Loses 3rd Term Bid As He Loses APC Primary Election To Seyi Lawal

Folajimi Mohammed, the son of Minister of Information and Culture and current member representing Ikeja State Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has lost his bid to represent the constituency for the third consecutive term. Mohammed lost at the primary election conducted to pick the flagbearer of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday, 27 May, 2022.He lost to former Legislative Leader of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, Seyi Lawal. At the primary election, Seyi Lawal polled 15 of the delegates votes while Folajimi could only muster nine votes.Seyi Lawal was declared the winner by the Electoral Committee Chairman, Comrade Ewuoso Olamide after the conclusion of the exercise.
