CHESTRAD Premieres ‘Lagbo Alaafia’, A Radio Town Hall On COVID19, Health And Wellbeing On Crown FM 101.5, Ile-Ife.
L’agbo alaafia is an initiative of CHESTRAD a global social enterprise.
Presented in both Yoruba and English languages, L’agbo alaafia aims to create awareness about COVID-19 vaccines sufficiency, its consequent infodemic and stimulus packages to bounce back from its economic impact, build back integrated health services using the primary health care approach and mitigate cross sector disruptions by the pandemic to many lives and the means of livelihood of many.
L’agbo alaafia commenced on the 20th of May 2022 and will run for 26 weeks.
The guest speaker at the seventh edition at the weekend Dr Olukunle Oluitan, Registrar, Ile-Ife Business School was of the opinion that the Federal Government should do more in term of welfare package to cushion the devastating effects of the pandemic in Nigeria.
This is a very important intervention that will increase vaccine acceptance and uptake.
Dr. Oluitan also encouraged people to take advantage of the soft loan made available through the Federal Government.
He, however, explained that the loan which can be assessed on NISRAL Micro finance bank attracts between 5% to 9% per annum.
Dr. Oluitan maintains that SMEs should not shy away from this facility which has moratorium of between three to six months.
L’agbo alaafia holds every Friday between 9.30-10.10am.
The radio town hall features feedback mechanism, where listeners can call and ask questions related to the program.
The general public and other key stakeholders are invited to download the CrownFM 101.5 mobile application on both android and iOS on google play store to monitor the program.
