Eid-el-Kabir: Yobe CP Assures Hitch-Free Celebration

Yobe State Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, has assured of a hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration in the state.
He said the Yobe State Police Command would continue to sustain ongoing efforts in the fight against crime and criminality before, during and after the Sallah festivities.
Garba gave the assurance while addressing Area Commanders, DPOs and strategic Heads of Departments during the week under review and charged them to emplace all necessary security measures with a view to ensure enabling environment for a hitch free and peaceful Eid celebrations.
He, however, enjoined Yobeans to be law abiding citizens, obey traffic regulations, avoid reckless/dangerous driving and contribute to the existing relative peace in the state by providing useful and credible information at the nearest police stations.
He wishes all Muslim Ummah happy and peaceful Eid celebrations and calls on all and sundry to be vigilant and security conscious, while equally warning all security personnel to be professional in carrying out their lawful duties while being mindful of the rights of citizens.
