Jesus I’ll Be By My Side To Take Me Home- Adeboye
General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has explained that Jesus will hold his hand to take him home when the time comes.
Speaking at a Thanksgiving Service titled; “ In my father’s house” at the National headquarters of the RCCG at Ebute Meta, Yaba, Lagos on Sunday, Adeboye said it’s very important for Christians to know their stand in the Lord before they die.
Quoting from the gospel according to John 14, verses 1-3, Adeboye said if it’s the angels that comes to take you home there is limit to how far he can take you, but if it is Jesus, then, your place in heaven is secured.
According to the revered clergy, he said only Jesus can break all the barriers for you to take you home.
He said; “If you close your eyes without Jesus standing by your side to take you home. God have mercy on you.
“Stephen, the apostle when he was being stoned to death, he saw Jesus coming to take him home. I pray that all your coming to church, your singing and praises will not be in vain.
“You can keep on pretending now. Oh! I’m a pastor. I’m a senior minister. I’m the leader of the elders. Make your way right with God today. If you have been pretending to be a Christian, if you are a backslider, run forward now to give your life to Christ.”
