Tobiloba Titiloye Emerges Winner Of Arts 4 Change Competition 

For Oluwatobiloba Titiloye, the winner of 2022 creative Competition organised by Arts for Change  in conjunction with National Council of Arts and Culture and powered by First Bank and other sponsors, it was a dream come.

Tobi was ecstatic immediately, Mr Loye Amzat, the Convener of Arts for Change announced his name as the winner of the maiden edition.

Tobi emerged winner from the seven finalists shortlisted from over 500 entries. Other finalists were Okeke Chukwuemeka, Olayemi Olamilekan, Wahab Yemi, Emmanuel Okonkwo, Adewole Abraham Ayo  and Lawal Abduraheem.

Other six finalists received consolation prizes from Mr Mike Dada, CEO of Gobet247 in addition to certificate of participation.

Speaking earlier, Mr Amzat explained that Arts for Change initiative is aimed at bringing the best out of the artistic creative of the youngsters.

He, however, hailed First Bank Nigeria plc for sponsoring the programme.

Explaining the criteria set to pick the winner, Mr. Amzat said with the theme; “Nigeria: Stronger Together”, adherence to the theme, creativity, aesthetic and originality of the concept were used by panel of judges.

Former commissioner for arts and culture in Lagos state, Mr Steve Ayorinde, who led the panel of judges, said it was a unanimous decision.

Ayorinde said; “what we chose as no 1 spoken to the fact that that particular artwork stands out. It spoken to the theme: Nigeria: Stronger Together . 

“The fact remains that all the finalists are winners. We were exceedingly impressed by the creativity. It’s very commendable. “And to the sponsors, they shouldn’t stop at the maiden edition, they should continue.”

Other senior journalists at the event were Ms Tosin Ajayi, a boxing promoter, Mr Aboderin and Publisher of QED, Mr Olumide Iyanda.
