2023: Jafojo, MC Oluomo’s Wife, Others Drum Support For Tinubu/Shettima Presidency In Atlanta
Nigerians in Diaspora had a grand finale rally to drum up the support for Tinubu/Shettima at the Riverdale City Hall in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 4th 2023.
The town hall meeting was hosted by some dedicated lovers of Asiwaju Tinubu headed by Alhaja Adewunmi Akinsanya and fellow hosts which include Hon. Adewale Jafojo (Director of Mobilization Directorate, APC-USA Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council ), Chief Bolaji Oduleye, Chief Nana Yekini, Chief Azeem Adewale, Mrs. Ayo Aderibigbe and Otunba Saheed Ashogbon.
In her welcome speech, Alhaja Adewunmi Akinsanya charged fellow belivers of Asiwaju and Nigerians in general to give their total support to Asiwaju as no one else among the present crop of leaders, possesses the undeniable passion for Nigeria like Jagaban, adding that the rally is targeted at sensitizing Nigerians the need to vote for Tinubu and APC.
Speaking in the same vein, Hon. Adewale Jafojo said, “we have the agitation that Nigerians in Diaspora should be able to vote during elections irrespective of which country they are. So part of the rally is to acknowledge this fact and let them know that one of the campaign promises of Asiwaju is to create that platform where Nigerians abroad can participate in electioneering anywhere in the world.”
Hon. Jafojo further reiterated that, the Rally is to ring out an alert to Nigerians about the momentum of the 2023 General Election and to encourage Nigerians in Diaspora to reach out to their loved ones back home to vote for Tinubu and all APC Candidates.
The Keynote address delivered by Alhaji, Prince Zainudeen Popoola Aromire, (Former President, Eko Club International) who urged “Nigerians at home and abroad to come together at this critical juncture of our dear country to decide who takes charge of the helms of affair of our nation. Our party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), has given us a Presidential flag bearer, in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with his running mate, Alhaji Kashim Shettima. These two leaders are, no doubt, the good example of round peg in a round hole to steer the ship of our country conscientiously and with the fear of God.”
Other speakers at the Mega rally included the APC-USA Georgia branch Chairman, Hon. Kunle Masha, Pastor Kayode Toyosi, Mr. Richard Sama, Mrs. Ayo Aderibigbe and Alhaja Bola Adetoro.
Also in attendance at the event led by HRH, Oba Shola Akinrimisi, Oriade of Georgia were APC-USA National Youth Leader, Hon. Bello Oyakhilome, Hon. Bishop Adejube, Hon. Khairat Ajiboye, Prince Rokan Adekola, Agba-Akin of Ewu Land, Chief Ibrahim Mohammed and other guests that flew in from out of state includes Alhaji Ibrahim (Aboki Suya – New York), Emir Ade Okanlomo (Texas), Asiwaju groups from Washington DC, Louisiana and Nebraska.
