Naira Redesign Controversy:Supreme Court Assumes Jurisdiction ….Rejects Abia Suit

The Supreme Court has consolidated the suit filed by 10 state governors challenging  the federal government on the implementation of the new naira redesign.

The apex court however refused to join Abia state because it came late with its originating summons. 

Recall that three state governors of Kaduna, Kano and Kogi have initially sued the federal government over the naira redesign before seven other states joined the suit.

Meanwhile, Edo and Bayelsa states have also joined the suit as defendants to support the federal government.
