Presidential Election: Tinubu Loses Kebbi To Atiku

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu lost the Presidential election in Kebbi State to the Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar after too much delay that made people of the State insinuating foul play on the part of the election umpire.
The results which was declared by the Returning Officer, Professor Yusuf Saudi, from Usman Danfodio University at the INEC collation center Birnin Kebbi was delayed for an update of two days after the election.
The Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar won the election after polling 285,175 votes against the All Progressives Congress(APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who polled 248,088 votes.
The result according to the Returning Officer, showed that, PDP polled 285, 175 votes, APC 248,088 votes, LP 10,682 votes, NNPP 5,038 as the PRP polled 2,027 respectively.
Registered voters stood at 1,983,985
Accredited voters were 599,201
Total valid votes declared was 599,201
Total votes rejected was 31,953
The Returning officer–Professor Yusuf Saidu from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto state, declared the results which were signed by all the political agents present.
The Kebbi state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ahmad Kontagora and the Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC, Kebbi State, Ahmad Mahmud, witnessed the results declaration.
