INEC Declares APC’s Nasiru Idris Kebbi’s Governor-Elect ….PDP Kicks

The candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) Dr. Nasiru Idris, has been declared winner of the March 18th,2023 Governorship Election after the rerun of the Election on Saturday 15th April, 2023.
Dr. Idris, who is the immediate past National President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers polled an overall 409,255 votes to beat his closest rival and People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate retired Major General Aminu Bande who polled 369, 940 votes.
The Returning Officer, Professor Yusuf Said of the Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, explained that Dr. Nasiru Idris having polled the highest votes has been declared winner and returned elected.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu, the Campaign Director General of PDP Governorship candidate has assured that his party the PDP would challenge the election results at the Election Petition Tribunal.
He assured further that a team of lawyers have been assembled and would be fully briefed on the way forward.
