INEC Resumes Collation In Adamawa, Urges IGP, SGF To Investigate, Prosecute Embattled REC
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has resumed collation of the remaining 10 local governments in Adamawa gubernatorial election.
INEC, after an emergency meeting convened at its headquarters in Abuja to review the fallout of the April 15 rerun election also urged the Inspector General of Police to investigate and prosecute the embattled Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Yunusa Ari who has been suspended after he declared the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate, Aisha Binani winner while collation was yet to be concluded.
INEC also urged the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, to draw the attention of President Mohammadu Buhari to the illegality perpetrated by the embattled REC.
