Gambari:Buhari Sent Me To Say Farewell To Kebbi People

The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, on Sunday was in Kebbi State on behalf of his Principal,President Muhammadu Buhari to convey a farewell message to the people of the State.
Gambari while fielding questions with Journalists at the government house before his departure to Abuja expressed that President Buhari had actually sent him to the people of the State to expressed appreciation for the maximum cooperation he enjoyed from the people in the past eight years of his administration.
He said some of the legacies President Muhammad Buhari’s administration would be leaving behind are making impact in addressing the security challenges facing the country, fighting corruption and supervising a free and fair elections.
The Chief of Staff to the President explained that Buhari would not only be remembered for supervising the conduct of a free and fair elections but that he would also be remembered for congratulating winners where his party did not win.
“Elections are over, the administration is now in the process of building support and environment for the incoming administration so that it would build on the positive records of president Muhammad Buhari’s government.”
Professor Gambari explained further that he was sent to Kebbi State by President Buhari to deliver a private message to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Illiyasu Bashar, also thanked the state for its support for the economy diversification policy of the federal government.
“We are coming to the end of Buhari’s administration we need to express appreciation for the support and prayers.President Buhari diversified the economy to make us now eat what we produced and produced what we eat. No state has exemplified that more than Kebbi State.” He said.
