Appoint Credible Hands Into Your Cabinet, Cleric Advises Kebbi Governor
From Ayodele Ajoge, Birnin-Kebbi
The Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CANl) Kebbi State chapter, Rt. Rev. Ayabua Kanta, has decried the bad leadership in the State in the past years and described it as the major reason the State remain underdeveloped till this days.
He, therefore, called on the new Governor who has just took an oath of Office to go extra mile to appoint credible people into his Cabinet to move the State forward and renovate the state Capital to wear a new look worth of praise as a State Capital.
Reverend Kanta in a post inauguration interview with newsmen during the week also advised governor Nasiru Idris to look beyond sentiments and choose credible people of high integrity to build his cabinet upon.
“He should appoint people who can deliver, not because they have campaign for him, he should look for capable hands, he should not listen to sycophantic advise, Kebbi people are expecting much from him.
“God picked him from no where, he is a Teacher, he was never a Councilor, Chairman or whatever in politics, he was picked by the device hand of Almighty God. He should look beyond sentiment and develop the State.
“Birnin-Kebbi does not look like a State Capital, it is an eye sore for anybody coming into Birnin-Kebbi. He should focus on infrastructure development like roads, the road leading to Suru,a Major town in the Southern part of the State is washed off. The new Governor should write his name in the sand of history by being just and fair.” He advised.
