Kebbi First Lady Pledges Support For Orphans, Vulnerable Children

Wife of the Kebbi State Governor Hajia Zainab Nasare Idris,has assured orphans and vulnerable children in the state that the new administration in the State will improve its support to better the lives of those in orphanage and the vulnerable children across the State.
Hajia Idris gave this assurance when she paid visit to the orphanage centre at the premises of the Ministry for Women Affairs and Social Development as well as those in the remand homes.
She disclosed that she was usually moved by the plight of these orphans and vulnerable children in the society, adding that her passion for these children was for them to grow up and become useful citizens in their various society to become good leaders.
“I want to tell you that you may be orphans but you are not orphans because we are with you and will always provide all that you need. I will ensure the present administration under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris continues to provide your needs so that you do not miss out on anything that will warrant you all to feel the impact of not having your parents close to you.” She said.
The Governor’s wife, therefore, promised that henceforth, all orphans and vulnerable children in the state should consider the State Government as their God given parents.
She also paid a visit to the Remand Home , where she urged the children to turn a new leaf, assuring the staff of the home that all their requests will be looked into and ensured that the State Governor gave them all the necessary attention they would need.
