Kebbi Govt Awards N9.4 Billion Road Contract

The Kebbi State government and Habbib Engineering Construction Company (HEN) LTD on Tuesday signed a N94.69 billion contract to upgrade and rehabilitate some township roads neglected by the immediate passed administration for the past eight years.
The roads to be upgraded and rehabilitates starts from the NNPC Mega Station along the Famous Arugungu road that traverse through Emir Haruna road, up to Haliru Abdul Stadium round about AP 2 filling Station to terminate at the Station end, all in the Birnin-Kebbi metropolis.
In his speech at the signing of the contract, the State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris stated that what is being witnessed today is inline with his inauguration speech to upgrade the State Capital and transform it from it present status of a glorified local government to a befitting State Capital that everybody, both residents and visitors will be proud off.
Responding, the Managing Director of the Company, Engr. Ahmmar Nouri told the Governor that his Company has being in business with Kebbi State Government over the years with clean records. Assuring, therefore, that the Company would do a nice job according to specifications.
Nouri assured the government and the people of the State that when the jobs commences, no fewer than 200 jobs would be available for people of the State to be engaged in, adding that his Company will delivered the jobs to the State government within the eighteen months given.
