Idris Signs 2024 Budget Into Law, Distributes 26 Posh Cars To Commissioners

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasiru Idris on Wednesday at Council Chamber signed the 2024 appropriation bill into law, just as he used the occasion to distribute 26 posh cars to his Commissioners to ease their official functions.
While thanking members of the State House of Assembly for their courageous speedy passage of the budget within the shortest possible time, the governor said the feat demonstrated by the Hon. Members showed they are in the same page with the Executive in the race of taken Kebbi State to her next level of greater development.
Comrade Idris told the honourable members that the Executive arm of the government is 100 percent ready to partner with them in all aspects of infrastructural development of the State.
“This is a transparent budget of infrastructural development of Kebbi State which every one of us is committed to.” He said.
Earlier in his speech, the speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Mohammed Usman Ankwei stated that the signing of the budget into law mark a significant mile stone in our journey to greatness of the State.
The Hon. Speaker said members extensively studied, scrutinized every aspect area of the budget that brings collective aspiration of the people to bear in the areas of Education, Health and Agriculture which brings to mind the priority the governor attach to the three major sector of state development and growth.
In a related development, Governor Nasiru Idris shortly after signing the budget into Law, distributed 26 posh cars to his 26 Commissioners to ease their official functions.
He issued them strong warnings not to turn the vehicles to their personal use adding that they must be committed to their people at the their various localities, as anyone of them fond to be running away from his people would be removed immediately.
