Kebbi Indigenes Celebrate Supreme Court Judgment Affirming Gov Idris’ Electoral Victory

Congratulatory messages have continued to trail the victory of Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State at the Apex Court on Friday,19th January, 2024, which affirmed his 18th March 2023 election success and dismissed the petition filed by the PDP governorship candidate, General Aminu Bande.
Speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, the Head of Service, Sufyanu Garba Bena, said he was not surprised at the verdict because victories at Tribunal and Appeal Courts were indications that Governor was a legitimate winner of the polls that put him into office, saying the legal victory would strengthen his desire of taking the state to higher heights.
In the same vein, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Halima Hassan Kamba expressed gratitude to God for the victory and expressed utmost confidence that the governor would implement his policy decisions on improving the quality of life of all people in the nooks and crannies of the state.
The Chairman Local Government Service Commission, Mansur Shehu Waziri while speaking to newsmen on the same subject matter said the victory was ordained by Allah stressing that ” we believe in the ability, capability, agility and forthrightness or our Governor to put Kebbi at top of the annals of history in areas of development within the next eight years”.
The State Chairman Abubakar Kana Zuru also bared his mind on the verdict by advising members of other political parties to put aside politics and join hands with Kauran Gwandu led administration to facilitate the socioeconomic growth of Kebbi State.
Similarly, Alhaji Sadiq Gwadangwaji, who spoke on behalf of Alhaji Umar Idris Buro, an APC stalwart in the state, appealed to the entire people of the state to remain supportive, loyal and cooperative to Governor Idris in the task of good governance and provision of democratic dividends.
