My Encounter With Former Girlfriend–Adeboye
The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed what happened when he met his ex-girlfriend after his conversion as a pastor.
Speaking at the Special Holy Ghost Congress held on Sunday, 28 January 2024, at the Rivers State stadium, Port Harcourt, Adeboye said it was the turning point for his ex girlfriend.
With the theme ” Promoted for a purpose,” Adeboye said that unlike what the people experience nowadays as new birth, his conversion was genuine that sin no longer had any grip on his life.
He said; ” Unlike your experience at salvation nowadays, when I got born again and became pastor, I no longer yield to the carnal cravings. It happened that before I got born again, I was rotten, I meant really rotten. I had many girlfriends .
“And this particular one, what I did with her was awful. Of course, I won’t tell you. But after I became pastor, I got married, and my ex-girlfriend got married. One day, she came to our church to seek healing for his child, who could not walk. When she got to her turn and she saw me, she was surprised. She asked to see the pastor, and I told her that I’m the pastor . She retorted, You? You meant you will pray, and God will hear, and I said yes. And we prayed a simple prayer, and the child began to walk.”
