How Lagos DCP Olugbemi Died– Investigation
As the death of a deputy commissioner of police , Gbolahan Olugbemi continues to generate controversy, many are surprised what led to the officer taking his own life.
Newsnowonline.com.ng investigation revealed that the ADC to former Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Akala may have decided to end his life due to depression.
Though, the late DCP is said to be doing well and highly connected, the fact that he has no wife, nor children, not even a mistress may have led to the ugly situation.
Insider revealed that it was his Orderly known as Yemi who discovered his lifeless body hanging with all the doors in the apartment opened.
According to the source, When DCP Olugbemi got to Ogbomosho for the Easter celebration, he told his orderly to go back and celebrate with his family in Ibadan.
It was when Yemi put a call to his boss (DCP Olugbemi) to know when they will return to Lagos that he became apprehensive after repeated calls were not answered. Pronto! He race down to Ogbomosho where he saw his boss lifeless body hanging on the ceiling. He promptly put a call to a DPO (name withheld) who lives in DCP Olugbemi’s house as a tenant.
The source further hinted that no foul play is suspected.
The police authority is yet to announce the death of DCP Olugbemi and probable cause of his death.
