Eid-El-Fitr: CUPP Congratulates Muslims, Berates Tinubu For Anti-People Policies
The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria for the successful completion of the 2024 Ramadan fasting period and the occasion of Idel-Fitri.
At the same time, the opposition Coalition condemned what it described as “the wicked and anti-people policies” of the current administration that is making Muslims not to be able to celebrate as they would have wanted to with their families and friends.
In a congratulatory message the opposition Coalition sent to Muslims in celebration of Eid-el-Fitr signed by the Coalition’s Spokesperson, Comrade Mark Adebayo, CUPP stated that “The Ramadan is a demonstration of human resilience and submission to Allah’s will and HIS clear instructions. Ramadan is a purifying phenomenon that helps humanity to be better in our conduct, better relationship with one another across the races and religions, being God-fearing and self-disciplined to avoid excesses. It is a period of human re-engineering to be better than before and run away from all that is bad and sinful. It is a reformative and regenerative instrument of the highest ideals of man.
“As Nigerians endure the current wicked, insensitive and anti-people policies of the Tinubu administration, we call on all Muslims to celebrate moderately but share love generously. President Tinubu’s economic policies are deliberately punitive of the poor masses simply to satisfy the retrogressive neo-liberal agenda of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other global financial institutions whose main objective is to keep Africa poor and dependent on the West. Executing such policies portrays those currently at the helm of affairs in Nigeria as unrepentant enemies of Nigeria and its peoples.
“We call on all Nigerians not only to reject the wicked anti-people policies of the Tinubu draconian government but must mobilize to resist any further attempt to increase the suffering in the land by more atrocious economic policies being planned against Nigerians because this government is not about to stop increasing the weight of economic hardships on the people. The recent 600% increase in electricity tarrifs is not only egregious but utterly satanic in nature. President Tinubu has shown himself as a man whose only interest as president is to destroy the interests of the masses and impoverish the greatest numbers of Nigerians. Having understood this, we call on Nigerians never to sit idle and allow this man destroy our commonwealth. The way he is going, Nigeria may become a mass burial ground for people killed by hunger and insecurity for which the current administration is clearly clueless to fix”.
