Rivers CP Tunji Disu Visits 94-Year-Old Female Police Officer

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, has paid a visit to a retired Deputy Commissioner of Police, Stella Okuyiga, one of the pioneering 20 female police officers in Nigeria who joined the force in 1955.

This was made known in a statement shared on his X account on Wednesday.

Sharing photos from the visit Disu wrote, ” I had the honour of visiting 94-year-old DCP Dame Stella Obuoforibo Okuyiga (retd..), one of the pioneering 20 female police officers in Nigeria who joined the force in 1955.

“It was a delight to spend time with this veteran trailblazer.”
