Oluwo Commends CDS For Honouring Veterans, Wounded Soldiers With Duke, Duchess Of Sussex’s Visit
The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has commended the Nigerian Defense Headquarters under the leadership of Gen. Christopher Musa, Chief of Defense Staff, on the proposed three days visit of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Nigeria.
Oluwo noted the visit will re-engineer and boost the spirit of the Nigerian soldiers most especially the veterans, wounded and injured soldiers.He further commended Prince Harry for founding evictus games designed purposely for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.
It could be recalled that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle respectively, are billed to arrive in Nigeria today, Friday May 10th,2020, for a private visit on the invitation of Gen. Christopher Musa.
Oluwo described the initiative of the CDS as exceptionally unprecedented in enlivening the morale and spirit of wounded soldiers.
“The initiative of the Chief of Defense Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa is a manifestation of a sane leadership in the Nigerian Army. The visit of The Duke and Duchess Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle respectively, is heroic, and will serve as mental and physical boosters to the Nigerian troops.
“The Nigerian army, in general, are patriots who commit themselves to securing the country against external invasion and internal aggression. Their service is priceless. They leave their family to protect others who living their family. “
