Lagos PFN Election Fallouts: S’ West National Vice President, Archbishop Osa Oni Resigns

According to the report published by the newsnowonline.com.ng that Pastor Yemi Davids has been anointed by PFN national leaders as the preferred choice, there is uneasy calm after his emergence on Tuesday.

Unlike the wide spread jubilation after the last annulled election which was won by Rev. Dr. Toyin Kehinde, there us unease now. No celebration and no jubilation.

Some of the Lagos PFN officers who spoke to our correspondent on the conditions of anonymity because they were not authorised to speak on the issues asked: Who is Rev. Yemi Davids? When did he begin to identify with PFN Lagos?

Part of the unease that now pervades the Lagos PFN is the sudden resignation of the national vice president, southwest of the PFN, Archbishop Osa Oni.

Though, according to his resignation letter sighted by our correspondent that he resigned for personal reasons, it’s not unconnected to how he was sidelined by the Bishop Wale Oke led national exco.

In fact, he was not allowed to superintend over the elections in his zone.

Instead, other officials from the South South and North Central were brought to Lagos to conduct the stage managed election.

The breakdown of the results is as follows: Pastor Yemi Davids 10 votes, Pastor Esosa Ize-Iyamu 8 votes, and Rev Yomi Kasali 7 votes.

Our correspondent learnt that Rev Dr Toyin Kehinde, who won the first poll but his victory was annulled boycotted the election.

According to the source, ” I told you that everything has been predetermined to favour Pastor Yemi Davids that it was just a coronation. But I don’t think people are happy with the whole shenanigans. It was purely a high-level manipulation.” He added.

Other officers elected with Pastor Davids are Rev. Mrs Janet Onaolapo, Deputy chairman, Rev Udo of the Foursquare Church as secretary and Pastor Sola Osunmakinde as Treasurer.
