STAN: De Genius Olivet College,Tigbo’lu Otta, Emerges Overall Best School In Ogun state
De Genius Olivet College, Ota, has emerged the overall best school for year 2024.
The school with its Bio-gas & Composit Home made machine,using Waste food as raw material to generate cooking gas and fertiliser, was adjudged the BEST in the project category exhibition organised by Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), Ogun State chapter at its 3-day Annual convention,which ended on Thursday, the 13th of June 2024.
The school, being the winner of the competition in the state, it will now fly flag of the state at the national level for another competition schedule to hold in August.
In a statement issued by the school proprietor Hon. Ipoola Ahmed Omisore over the news, he commended his students and tutors.
He also gave glory to God and parents for supporting the school in achieving the enviable height.
“We are the now the sole representative of our great state at the STAN national competition that will holds in August. This is a great work of God as we had similarly in 2022 won the State finals with a locally built Water Purifier,that was designed by our school using a lot of local contents,which came 1st in the State,for which our school equally represented the State at JETS National level.We are grateful for such an awesome feat. Thanks to all our parents who believed in the goal and released their children. Thanks to God for his mercies. Thanks to the entire management of our great school. Olivet School is always setting the pace!!!”, he said.
He also disclosed that in the junior category, the school also emerged third in the quiz competition and qualified for the final.
