Your Excellency;

SINCERE APPRECIATION AND NOTICE OF INTENTION TO QUIT AS CHAIRMAN, SDP ONDO STATE CHAPTER EFFECTIVE JULY 30, 2024

I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to you and the entire National WorkingCommittee of our esteemed party, SDP, for granting me and the rest of the CTC,the exceptional opportunity to rebuild the Ondo State Chapter.

I am especially thankful for the unwavering support of the National Youth Leader,Mr. Ogbonna, the National Legal Adviser, and all other members of the NWC. Their outstanding cooperation and assistance to me and the CTC since our appointmenthave been invaluable.I am deeply grateful for the chance to help rebuild and enhance our brand in OndoState.

During my brief tenure, we have successfully established a new and fitting StateParty Secretariat, rebuilt LG and Ward structures across the entire state, improvedparty memberships and positioned the party as a credible contender in theupcoming gubernatorial election.

Following the successful conduct of the substitution primary, which resulted in theemergence of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) as the new Party Leader andflagbearer of our great party, it has become expedient for me to step aside andallow the new party leadership to assume positions as we strive for victory in theupcoming election.

Continuing in my current position could potentially distract from and hinder theplans and activities of the new team. Therefore, it is crucial to swiftly empower anew, election-winning machinery to fulfil our candidate’s aspirations and the party’sgoals

As preparations intensify to wrest power from the oppressive regime of APC andliberate our people from the mismanagement of the current administration, I amfulfilled and content to step down from my position as State Party Chairman.

This will enable our new leadership to build on the existing structures and re-lubricatethe party machinery effectively, with the aim of securing victory in November.

The future of our party is bright and filled with promise. I eagerly anticipate handingover a united and highly motivated SDP team of leaders and members to ournewly-minted leader in fulfilment of my promise to allow him take firm control of thecampaign and logistics thereabout.

The end of the Ayedatiwa administration is imminent, and I am hopeful that thegroundwork already laid will pave the way for preventing another term for the APC administration.

The good people of Ondo State have clearly voiced their desire to end sufferings,oppression, and the dubious antics of the current administration.

I therefore enjoin our ebullient candidate to hit the ground running as we look forward to the liberationof our people from the oppressive policies of the current administration.

As a party, we have invested and will continue to invest in the promises of a newand better tomorrow for our people. Our determination to change the “changers”remains sacrosanct.

Once again, I sincerely thank you for the opportunity to serve the party and ouresteemed constituents.

Sincerely,

Segun Oyebolu, PhD
